What the RCMP provides:
Highly Trained Officers
Every RCMP Member begins their career at the RCMP Training Academy, known as Depot, located in the heart of Regina. There, Members receive world-class training. Ongoing learning and specialized courses throughout Members’ careers ensure they are always prepared to meet evolving challenges.
Community-Focused Policing
RCMP Members deliver full-service policing across 99% of Saskatchewan of the 651,900 square kilometers that make up the province. Building relationships and trust in both urban and rural communities.
Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Teams (SERT)
SERT units work across provincial borders with other RCMP Divisions and partner agencies. They investigate complex cases such as human trafficking, drug trafficking, and firearms trafficking to combat organized crime.
Specialized Units and Scalability
Backed by national resources and more than 150 specialized units – including major crimes, air services, emergency response and even livestock investigators – the RCMP can scale quickly to meet local needs.
A Shared History of Service
Members of the RCMP aren’t just serving Saskatchewan – they’re part of it.
Since 1885, Saskatchewan has been home to Depot – the RCMP’s national training academy in Regina. Every RCMP Member begins their journey here before serving communities across the country.
