RCMP and Saskatchewan: A Shared History
Through the RCMP’s national training Depot Division in Regina, every RCMP cadet spends six months working, learning, and falling in love with the ‘Land of living skies’ before being deployed across the country. Currently, ~1,375 Members serve to keep Saskatchewanians safe, serving 99% of Saskatchewan’s landmass, from Grasslands National Park to the Athabasca Sand Dunes and Cypress Hills to Reindeer Lake. A recent Pollara Strategic Insights survey found that 81% of residents in RCMP-served communities are satisfied or very satisfied with the RCMP’s policing; among the highest support in Canada.
